"We’ve all selected the wrong partners, all gotten hurt, and hopefully all moved on wiser for the experience. But there are those who, even in the face of constant disappointment, continue to believe that the intensity of their desire will be rewarded by an eventual jackpot of affection. And if that’s the slot machine you’re playing, friend, you’d better leave the casino ‘cause that one don’t pay out"

One Piece » 17th Anniversary

4th August, 1997 - 4th August, 2014

Congratulations to Eiichiro Oda and his seventeen successful years of One Piece!

My gratitude to this story and its creator, Eiichiro Oda, cannot be put into words.

I laugh and cry about it. I smile when I think of it. It is, indeed, a miraculous creation.

One Piece is not just a story, it’s more than that. One Piece is a life saver. I have heard some stories of One Piece being the reason why some people have not commit suicide and continue living. One Piece is encouraging. It gave people the courage to say what they like without worrying about others and do as they please. One Piece is inspiring. It has inspired people to live their dreams without regrets and to move on, to remember what they are fighting for. When I think of it, it gets unexpectedly hard to put how wonderful it is into words.

All I can think of is, ‘thank you.’

Thank you, Eiichiro Oda, thank you for One Piece.

Thank you for being alive.
